Are you addicted to renovating like I am?

Ever look at a part of your house and think – “that’s it, I can’t stand it anymore – it needs a makeover!”?

If I’m honest; I do this all the time; I drive my husband crazy; I can admit it.

First, it’s the entryway, then the powder room, the floors, the sitting room, the laundry room (that I have yet to finish and it’s been over a year (COVID got me slackin’), the basement, the front porch – next job the kitchen, it honestly never ends. The ideas keep flowing, the Pinterest obsession gets worse; vicious but fun cycle!

It’s hard to do renovations right now; prices of materials are crazy, it’s hard to find what you want and to top it off, it is hard to find good, reliable help!

Going to Improve Canada was just the trip I needed to do, not only do they have everything you need in one spot, they are so eager to help, they give amazing advice, guys, it’s like the real-life version of Pinterest!

If you are thinking of doing some home renovations; whether you know what you want to do; or have no clue what you want, it does not matter; head to Improve Canada; they will be more than happy to make your dream space come true.

Improve Canada has about 400 showrooms for you to look at, get ideas from and get advice from professionals that love what they do!

Now: I want to know what you are working on; if you are local; have been to Improve Canada yet. If you haven’t been, what are you waiting for?

Call them, ask them whatever questions you may have and then go check out the beautiful showrooms they have!

The Perfect Travel Buddy!

Summer plans are sure different this year than what we had expected, but that doesn’t mean that we still can’t create memories and go on adventures!

I needed to tell you guys about the amazing bed boxes by Jetkids! We were lucky enough to have them #gifted to us.

You def do not need to hop on a plane to enjoy these guys! My kiddos drive them around the house constantly, use them as their snack trays as well as their footrests! I love when kids products have more than one use like this one!

A few ways to use them:

  1. They are super spacious and the perfect size for the kiddos clothes, toys and snacks, you name it!
  2. They can RIDE on them! They straddle their bedbox and can race and pull each other around. The swivel wheels make it super easy for them to maneuver by themselves!
  3. They can cozy up on a chair, couch or anywhere really and use their bedbox as a footrest
  4. They can simply flip the cover as well and make it into a snack tray!
  5.  We all know these can be used on the plane – the perfect carryon for the kids, makes it easier to travel and guys, it turns into a BED for the plane, perfect for those early morning plane/train rides!

Right now they have some amazing new bundles with the bedbox, their blankets as well as their amazing new crew backpack. The perfect daycation or travel pack, you could get for the kiddos! To find out more about these products and see why we love them so much click the link

This is now an essential thing for us when we go to the cottage, swimming, a day trip adventure or a trip and we highly recommend it!

If you have one let us know what you think!

Meet The Krems!!

Hi guys,

Okay I was so excited to get asked to be a part of Mike and Erins big day!!  I have known Mike for years so when his now wife approached me I was ecstatic!!

Mike and I knew eachother way back when we were really athletic and sprint kayaking and always dressed in spandex so it was nice to be a part of his day and see the lovely photos of the two of them all dressed up!

I don’t think he could have picked a better match as Erin is such a gorgeous person both inside and out!

Mike and Erin got married at Carl’s catering in Brampton their hair was done at an extremely cute salon called Erin Melinda Hair studio which is located in Pickering.  Photography was done by Photography by Rowen Make up done by Moi (Bride, Bridal party and Mother of the Groom; Mike didn’t let me do his unfortunately).  All make up was airbrushed with my favourite brand Kett Cosmetics.  If you wish to know more about airbrushing you can ask me or you can always check out Kett.

Below are a few photos of their day for you to look at.

Erin thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day, it was great to hang out with you and the girls!!  I am so happy for the two of you as you clearly are a perfect match!!

Hancock turns into a Plenderleith!

Hi guys,

It has been an extremely long time since I wrote my last blog.  I have lots of catching up to do!

I am going to start with Joanna and her amazing family!!  Joanna lives in Australia with the core of her family being here in the GTA.

Her and her now husband Mark got married at the gorgeous Deer Creek Golf Course in Ajax.  This is a gorgeous venue if you guys have not seen it make sure to click the link and check it out!

Everyone got ready at their parents house in Port Perry and I had a blast doing the make up for them.  I was honoured to finally meet Joanna as her sister has been a big part of my life for the past few years.

This English family definitely knows how to have a good time and I had many laughs while hanging out with them and Joanna was kind enough to bring me back a dairy milk vegemite chocolate bar…really it wasn’t as bad as i thought it was going to be!

The ladies were all airbrushed and their make up was fairly natural.  Their hair was done by Christina LeBlanc who now owns her own salon called the Hairitage House  click the link to go to her facebook page.

Please take a look at this gorgeous day.  All photos were done by Lindsay Nemeth Photography

Steph and Adam’s Big Day

Hey Everyone!!

On November 21st I was lucky to be apart of Steph’s big day!  Steph and Adam got married at the Kingbridge Centre in King City.  I have never been to this venue before and I just want to say it is gorgeous!

We all know when I blog about the makeup I do for weddings I don’t make it all about the makeup.  I like for everyone reading to see everything incase you are looking for a venue or looking for a photographer.

Steph and Adam had a Christmas theme and I just thought it was such a great idea..they took pics with all the girls wearing their rain boots and it looked so great!

Their photographer was the one and only Danielle Arnold she is always so great to work with!!

I had such a great time with these girls the morning of the wedding, everything was relaxed and chill and they were such great people to hang out with.

Check out the pics from their big day!

Farmer Chris Soules Visits Ontario!!!

Hey everyone!!

It has been way too long since I have posted and i am extremely far behind!!  Since I have last posted I have had a gorgeous baby girl who is now over a year old!!!!

But I am back and going to try and catch up on all the work I have done!

So let’s start off with this one!  I had the pleasure of doing my favourite bachelors make up…yes Chris Soules!!  There are very few people i have met in this life who are as nice and humble as he is.  I wish him and his family the best of luck with their family farm as well as everything else in life.

I got to hang out with Chris as he was here visiting grain farmer Daryl Haanstra and his family at Twenty View Farms, just outside of Hamilton. Darryl showed Chris around the farm and had a few interviews a long the way!  It was so neat to watch them speaking about farming and spending a day on this gorgeous farm

The next day was a quick day I met Chris at the hotel did his make up and he was off to a day of interviews and I was off for a nap!  He appeared on the Breakfast Television as well as the social on top of others.  Please check out the video of Chris speaking about his passion of farming.

Here is his interview on BT

Below are some other links where you can watch Chris Shine as he talks about farming and his life.

Colby The Ninja Turtle Turns 5!!!!

Colby’s 5!! And what better way to celebrate than partying with all his friends as the Ninja Turtles?!?!

Purdy Girls helped throw this little Ninja Turtle an awesome birthday. Princess Tutu’s made Colby and all his friends personalized capes and masks in the Ninja Turtle colours, I painted their faces green while Mia captured it all on her camera!

We then played a bunch of games, including “Vaporize a Villain”, pin the mask on the Ninja Turtle and show us your best ninja move (some were pretty cute/hilarious)!!!  We then stopped for Pizza and of course every kids favourite the Birthday Cake!! Colbys amazing birthday cake was done by H & C’s Sweet Boutique.

Colby’s mother threw an amazing party! It was a perfect day to have his party outside in the backyard; it was a pleasure meeting such a nice family and such wonderful kids!!

It was such an incredible day and Mia and I are so glad we were part of it.
