Introducing Stefani Murray

Okay so a little bit late on introducing Stef as a Murray however it is better late than never!!! Stefani got married to her husband Mitch Murray on Friday Sept. 7th 2012. Stefani and Mitch got married at the Manor in Kettleby. I have been to this venue a couple of times and it is a gorgeous golf and country club!!
Michael Ditacchio was there with me working his magic on the bridal parties hair!
I had a great time with these ladies and I am excited to finally get these photos up!!! Stefani looked stunning on her day and i am so glad that she asked me to be a part of it!

Make up wise there were many different looks but of course everyone got airbrushed and everyone was happy with the end results!!

Again Stefani thank you so much and congrats to you and Mitch I wish you all the happiness in the world!!

DIY Wedding = Amazing

Hey everyone!!

Okay so this blog is about my gorgeous cousin Mia Purdy and her Husband Darryl Smith’s amazing wedding!  I have been waiting for photos of this wedding since the day of so that I could make this post!!  Soo needles to say I’m excited for this post and I can’t wait to share their photos with you.

Mia and Dares wedding was it a DIY wedding they put lots of thought and effort into this and worked extremely hard to make it a perfect day!!  I will not share how any of this is done you will have to just take a look at the photos!! Mia, Darryl,  their families and the wedding party went up the day before and got the venue all ready for the big day.  And seeing it all come together was amazing!

Okay so being in the wedding party of this one I will say when Mia first took us to the venue to see it I was in love right away with it, it couldn’t be more perfect.  Then she decided to talk about bunting and all the different spots she wanted it the picture that me and the other bridesmaid had in mind well let’s just say we poked fun a bit.  However my dearest Mia AMAZING job on the bunting as it honestly made the venue look unreal!!

They picked an unreal venue that I am officially obsessed with and I am sure you all will be as well when you look at the photos.  They got married in Milton at Country Heritage Park.  The venue was super accommodating and they honestly felt like old time friends!!  It is a gorgeous Barn that actually does tractor rides around the gorgeous property (I think my nephew was on it most of the day). As you take a tour of the venue there are old barns, blacksmith stores, general stores horses it is unreal!   The ceremony was upstairs in the loft area Jer (Mia’s brother) made an arch way for them and it fit in perfectly…just looked amazing!!  Below on the main floor was where dinner and the big party happened afterwards!  Mia is extremely creative and incorporated all the things that they loved into the look of the wedding coke bottles being one of them :).

So I’m pretty sure you can guess I did the make up for her wedding.  So we woke up in the morning put our amazing robes on that Mia had bought us and I went to work!!  Airbrushing of course was used and then everyone had a different look.

The photographers were amazing and fit right in with everyone perfectly!  Young Hearts Photography is who took all the photos of Mia and Darryl’s day and they did an unreal job!!

Congrats to Mia who is not only my cousin but has become one of my closet friends I am so happy for you and Dare!   To Dare Welcome to our family offically yet again!  Love ya both!!

So usually I just show a few photos of my make up but because this was a DIY and because of my obsession with the venue there will be a few photos of everything all mixed into the slide show below.

Mrs and Mr Simo :)

Okay so on August 11th I got to work with a bride who is very close to my heart and I am so honoured to have been asked to do Amanda’s make up for her day!  Amanda is a long time friend of about umm..about 26 years or so and I am extremely happy for her!!

Everything about the wedding was beautiful!!  The ceremony and reception were at Rockway Glen Golf Course and Estate Winery and it is gorgeous there!!  The ceremony was outside it rained a little bit but it actually made the ceremony even better (I’m determined it was just Alex her dad poking in to say hi and shedding a tear of how proud he is of her)!

Make up wise I did Amanda, 3 of her bridesmaids and Brian’s mother.  To do these girls make up was like a treat for me here I have 4 sporty girls who I have known through sports and never seen a  tad of make up on them (maybe mascara) so to see them airbrushed with lashes on was a new thing for me and I’m sure even for some of them!  I had a blast doing their make up and getting to be part of the day!

Amanda and Brian I love you guys and I am so happy for the both of you!  Congrats!!

Below are just a few sneak peaks of photos that I got through some of Amanda’s friends there will be more to look at later I just got too excited 🙂

No waste wedding in the woods? Amazing

Hey lovelies,

I just have to share this wedding with you all!! 2 weeks ago I was honoured to be the make up artist at Nancy and Jeff’s wedding; I have known them for years and I have not seen them for an extremely long time.  Not only was it amazing to catch up with them and their gorgeous bridal party it was unreal to see the venue they had picked I have never seen a bride and groom pick a venue like this and it was AMAZING!  Nancy and Jeff got married at The Ganaraska Forest Centre
If you are an outdoorsy couple looking for a venue this one is perfect just be careful to take the right route and not the off roading one like me and my lil’ kia soul did!!!

Nancy, Jeff and their families had a goal of 0 waste wedding (aka no garbage kind of wedding) they came very close to accomplishing their goal!! They produced 1/2 bag of garbage for 118 people including sleepover and Sunday breakfast.  The 3 things they did are as follows

  1. Have a straw-less bar. No one needs to drink a classy beverage through plastic.
  2. Make your decor out of earthy materials. Nancy’s sister collected pine cones, twigs, fallen branches, moss, birch bark, & stones from the woods and set them beautifully together. After the event, all went back into the woods.
  3. Put out compost bins and recycling boxes. People want to do the right thing – give them the opportunity.

If you are interested in doing something similar to this with the no waste you can contact Larraine Roulston through www.castlecompost.com.

Nancy and her wedding parties make up was very simple and natural and i airbrushed them all as well!  The two little flower girls were gorgeous and of course popped some dazzle on their lips and a little bit of blush as well :).

Please check out the photos they were done by Trevor Langdon and he did an unreal job of them!!  Also click here to see an amazing video so you can see just how well it all turned out!

congratulations to an amazing newly wed couple and thank you soo much for asking me to be a part of your day! It was so nice to see faces of old friends!
